This page is for anyone with an account on Vidya ("Vidya School", vidya.school), including the Vidya School app for Android. Vidya is operated by Seema Computers.
- Write to [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account". Send it from the email address you sign in with, or give the phone number you sign in with.
- Tell us the name of your school and whether you are a parent, a pupil or a member of staff.
- We may call you, or check with your school, to make sure the request really comes from you before we act on it.
You can also ask your school's office, or call the helpline on +91 7037003700.
Within 30 days of confirming the request we close the account. It can no longer sign in, and we remove its sign-in details: the email address or phone number used to sign in, the password, any linked Google account, passkeys and two-step verification, and the notification tokens of the phones it was used on.
Your school's records about you are not part of your account. They belong to the school, which keeps them as a school must: the admission register, fee receipts and the school's accounts, attendance, examination results, and staff service and salary records. A transfer certificate or a mark sheet may be asked for years after a pupil leaves, so these are kept for as long as the school uses Vidya.
To have one of those records corrected or removed, ask your school — they hold it and can change it. Copies held in our encrypted backups are replaced as those backups expire.
See the privacy policy for everything Vidya holds and who can see it.
